The Ministry of Security and Public Administration had announced last August 27th 2013 implimentation of subsitute holiday system from 2014 . what this basically means, is that if a national holiday falls on a Weekend or another holiday (possible because the Orient’s major holidays still follow Lunar calendar): people will get the next business day OFF . however this only concerns Lunar New Years AND Korean Thanks-Giving which are the two times the whole nation succumbs to massive migration . also in effect if Children’s day May 5th should fall on a Saturday .
